I started out painting murals for my own home -- mainly to make the house more livable. The results turned out well enough that the murals have been featured in The Seattle Times, The Herald, on the cover of the Northwest Society of Interior Designer's (NWSID) Newsletter, in the American Society of Interior Designer's (ASID) 2005 Showhouse and on HGTV's Renovation Generation. From this attention I naturally received a few commissions -- all of which I have truly enjoyed.
If you have a really interesting space or idea for a mural, I would be happy to accept the commission. Just contact me and let's talk. 425-771-2905
Murals
Wall murals allow you to plan and determine the ambiance of a space. With murals you can make any space more interesting and beautiful, you can add substance and mood. a focal point or a way of adding another pleasing layer of visual texture. A mural can be subtile and restful or bold and dramatic.
A fine mural can transform a space with greater effect than other more expensive forms of remodeling, and with longer lasting results.
When you commission an artist to create an original work of art for your home or business you make a statement about yourself that few other purchases will rival. Murals are often the inspirational force behind the historical preservation of fine homes and among the more outstanding legacies of their owners.
When I create a mural I seeks to understand both the subject matter and what the client wishes to achieve. I carefully consider how the wall mural will look from different angles, from up close and from a distance. I give attention to the different relationships of palette and subject matter, composition and external surroundings. I start by rendering sketches of the overall mural composition and actual size sketches of any areas of special complexity and importance so that the client is always confident of my ability to fulfill the necessary requirements of the project.
