These very upbeat impressionistic wall murals provides a panoramic view for a guest "cabana" or bathroom.
The composition follows the architecture of the room. Around the main interior entrance from the guest bedroom is a shaded tree with branches extending in both directions along the top of the wall. Visually, one leaves the beach by heading under this shading tree and into the Palm grove. This foreground tree, with its sunny and airy leaves provides a resting place for different exotic and colorful birds. From this main entrance the beach arches out in both directions to create a cove where a variety of sail boats are seen approaching. In the distance, the first detail of the wall mural the eye is drawn to on entering the room, is a brightly colored lighthouse.
From the exterior pool-side entrance the first view is the cool shaded Palm grove with beach umbrellas in the foreground.
The client requested a bright and positive scene, and during the developmental stage only added one easy to accommodate revision. That addition was to include, along with the various birds already planned, the addition of elements represented in the existing wall tiles--the beach umbrellas, sailboats, and a lighthouse. This revision helped add positive splashes of color and give the mural an even more inviting decorative feel.

Wall murals like this are a real joy to paint. In my view, a custom wall mural is most successful when it both reflects the personal spirit of the client.
